Trainer Tony Gollan has already won a record amount of prize money for a Brisbane summer but his biggest pay day could be ahead of him.
The Gollan-trained Zelady's Night Out has firmed to $6 second favouritism for the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast on January 9.
The filly made it two wins from two starts in the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes at Doomben on Saturday and Gollan believes there is a lot more improvement to come.
"She had a little break at Washpool Lodge and we left some improvement in her," Gollan said.
"I am confident she will run the 1200 metres of the Magic Millions because she can jump and then take a position."
He will decide in the next few days if Zelady's Night Out has another start in the B J McLachlan Stakes on Boxing Day or goes straight to the Magic Millions.
A few weeks ago, the dual Brisbane premiership-winning trainer revealed his plan to dominate the Brisbane summer carnival and he has done just that.
In the past three weeks, the stable's horses have won $654,900 prize money including six stakes races.
Didntcostalot won the George Moore Stakes, Traveston Girl the Recognition Stakes and Brisbane Handicap, Secret Saga the Mode Plate, Fontelina the Lough Neagh Stakes and Zelady's Night Out the Calaway Gal.
Gollan said he was pleased things had worked out during the summer because he had been disappointed with his efforts in the winter and spring.
"I have made an effort to really dominate this summer and with a week of the carnival left it has been satisfying," he said.
Gollan's biggest thrill was providing the trifecta in the Group Three George Moore Stakes.
He is also hoping Traveston Girl can take the 1600m-triple crown of the Recognition Stakes, Brisbane Handicap and Bernborough Handicap.
She has won the first two legs and faces the Rob Heathcote-trained Group performer Hopfgarten in Saturday's Bernborough.
"It would be a nice way to finish the carnival," Gollan said.
