Trainer Clinton McDonald has been fined $1500 over a positive swab returned by one of his horses to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory Ibuprofen.
The banned substance was present in a blood sample taken from Rib Eye before he raced at Sandown on August 26.
McDonald pleaded guilty before the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Tuesday and Rib Eye was disqualified from the race in which he finished seventh.
