Star Queensland sprinter Buffering will do a little extra work on Tuesday in preparation for his Magic Millions day assignment after an easy gallop between races at Doomben.
Buffering worked with Group One-placed I'm Belucci over 1000m at on Friday and had no trouble holding the three-year-old.
Trainer Robert Heathcote said he had been pleased with Buffering's effort but the gelding had probably done it too easily.
"All it means is I will give him a little extra work on Tuesday. He should be cherry ripe for Millions day," Heathcote said.
He has entered Buffering for both the QTIS only race and the Magic Millions Sprint.
"Buffering is 99 per cent certain to run in the QTIS race," Heathcote said.
Ryan Wiggins rode Buffering in the gallop on Friday but Damian Browne will be back for Magic Millions day.
I'm Belucci's trainer Desleigh Forster was satisfied with the track work gallop.
The gelding is being set for a first-up tilt at the Magic Millions Guineas.
