Apprentice Sairyn Fawke continued his successful comeback from a serious injury with his first city double at Doomben on Wednesday.

Fawke was starting to establish himself as a metropolitan-standard apprentice when he was one of three jockeys injured in a fall at Rockhampton on June 20.

He suffered internal injuries when his Rockhampton Cup mount Power Ranger blundered and two other runners crashed over him.

Fawke resumed riding in late November and scored posted his comeback winner on Chaste Angel for his masters, the Meagher training combination, at Beaudesert last week.

He followed up with wins on Morning Fog ($4.80) for trainer Liam Birchley and the Tracey Wolfgram-trained Tracey's Angel ($2.70) at Doomben.

"Morning Fog was headed by the runner-up Zero Tolerance but she showed a lot of heart to fight back and win."

"Tracey's Angel is a good wet tracker and she will be even better for the win. She has been placed in better company than this and they made the race for her by setting a fast pace," Fawke said.

"It's good to be back and riding winners."

Impeccably bred Redoutes Choice gelding Hostwin Galaxy ($2.40) made the rip from Sydney to score strong debut win in the Graham Ireland Plate.

Hostwin Galaxy had trialled well at Rosehill and trainer Gary Moore elected to bring him to Brisbane so his owner Hong Kong-based Jason Tam could see him race.

"Mr Tam was due to come for the Magic Millions sales but couldn't make it. Hostwin Galaxy will probably head straight back to Sydney," said Moore's son James.

Deagon trained Sharpe Hussler($3.50) lived up to a smart recent trial with his win in the Sky Racing Handicap.

"Sharpe Hussler has always shown potential but it wasn't until he came back from a spell this time that the penny dropped. He might go on to be a more than handy horse," said trainer Bradley Smith.
