Having trained Gold Dove to city success, trainer Jane Baker is now enjoying a winning run with the mare's daughter, Goldie's Fortune.
Baker, who has a small team at Warrnambool, brought three-year-old Goldie's Fortune to Sandown on Wednesday and the filly added a metropolitan win to her recent victories at Terang and Edenhope.
Goldie's Fortune's half-length win in the Mitavite Challenge Heat 7 (1600m) gave Baker her first city winner since February 2011.
The filly's mother won five races during her career including two at Moonee Valley during the 2007/08 season.
"She has kind of followed her mother in a little way," Baker said.
"They both took a long while to win their maidens and then won three in a row, both of them."
Goldie's Fortune broke her maiden at her 11th start while Gold Dove won her first race at her eighth start before three-straight wins at Mornington.
Baker paid just $3200 for Goldies Fortune.
"Gold Dove won five races and we sold her as a broodmare," Baker said.
"We found this filly by chance in a weanling sale up on the Gold Coast.
"We thought `we can't let her go through for as little money as she was', so we bought her her over the phone.
"I was a bit worried when she came down because she was that small she couldn't see over the box door. But we won't worry about that now, will we."
