Clarry Conners has baulked once at an autumn carnival start for Queen Of Wands.
He is unlikely to do the same again after the filly made it back-to-back wins in the TAB Rewards Handicap at Kembla Grange on Wednesday.
"I think a bit of her and I had her nominated for the Emancipation Stakes but I thought I would bring her down here and give her a chance to win again," Conners said.
"There's nothing of her but she's a good little filly who gets to the line strongly."
Carrying $6.50 to $5.50 support, Queen Of Wands came from last to beat the favourite Francais ($3.50) by 1-3/4 lengths.
Conners will now set his sights on a three-year-old fillies race on the final day of the Sydney autumn carnival.
"I'd like to get some black type with her and Sydney looks the best option at this stage," Conners said.
"The (JHB) Carr Stakes is on in a few weeks time and that looks a nice race for.
"If not I might send her to Brisbane but the trouble with the fillies stakes races up there they are over a bit further in distance and that's not going to suit her at this stage."
