Golden Slipper-winning trainer Jason McLachlan will take an indefinite break from racing to travel and pursue other interests.
The Sunshine Coast trainer will begin his sabbatical next week.
McLachlan was in a training partnership with his father Bruce when they won the 2009 Magic Millions Classic-Golden Slipper double with Phelan Ready.
Jason McLachlan has trained in his own right since Bruce McLachlan died in June 2009.
"I am definitely not retiring. But I have worked industry 31 years straight without a break," McLachlan said.
"I will be able to travel and pursue other interests which I have never had time for."
"I've seen a lot of changes in the game and not all of them for the better."
"However, I will be back training but I have no time limit on it."
