Suspension to keep McEvoy out of Doncaster

Kerrin McEvoy will miss the first day of The Championships after being suspended for careless riding aboard Montaigne in the BMW.

McEvoy will miss the Doncaster Mile where he was booked to ride Excess Knowledge, but will return for the Queen Elizabeth Stakes the following week.

Michael Walker was also suspended for his ride on Sovereign Nation in the Tulloch Stakes, but will return in time to partner Criterion as he aims to defend his Queen Elizabeth crown.

Hugh Bowman and Blake Shinn were fined $2000 and $1000 respectively for whip breaches.
