Tahlia Hope will experience the thrill of riding in France after being selected to compete in an apprentices race at Chantilly.
The Victorian will represent Australia against other junior riders in the Prix Longines Future Stars race on June 14.
The race is run during the Group One Prix Diane (French Oaks) meeting.
Hope, 17, is the fourth apprentice from Racing Victoria's training program to compete in the Future Stars event following Patrick Moloney (2013), Jessica Payne (2014) and Beau Mertens (2015).
Hope said riding overseas had been among her goals but not one she imagined would come so soon.
"I made sure I put my head down and worked hard to earn a trip like this, but not in a million years would I think that at 17 I'd get the opportunity to be riding in France," Hope said.
Hope, who has ridden 16 winners in Victoria since making her race debut last October, will ride trackwork at Chantilly in the week leading up to the race.
