Group One winner Precious Gem has arrived in Queensland, but whether the mare runs again before going through the sale ring is still to be decided.
Precious Gem added a valuable Group One to her CV in Saturday's Robert Sangster Stakes in Adelaide and is due to go under the hammer at the Gold Coast National Broodmare Sale on June 1.
There is an option of running in the Glenlogan Park Stakes on May 28 in Brisbane.
"It's just a bit tight because to do her justice at the sales," trainer Henry Dwyer said.
"They need to be there for three or four days at the sales for inspections.
"If she happened to run (on May 28) she would pretty much go from the races to the sale complex, which probably isn't fair on her."
Precious Gem is entered for the Group One Stradbroke Handicap on June 11 which would be an option for whoever bought the mare at auction.
The Dane Ripper Stakes is also on June 11 while the Group One Tattersall's Tiara is later next month.
Regardless of whether she runs on May 28 at Doomben or not, Dwyer said he needed to keep the mare in training until the sale because she holds nominations for carnival races.
