Classy filly Perignon will be having her last start for trainer Gerald Ryan in the Listed Bright Shadow Handicap at Doomben.
The Group One-placed Snitzel filly will go to auction at the Gold Coast sale early next month with Ryan hoping she can go out on a high note under topweight of 59kg in Saturday's 1350m race.
Perignon's biggest win was in the Group Two Light Fingers Stakes at Rosehill in February.
"She has never been disgraced in top company," Ryan said.
"She was unlucky when fifth in the Magic Millions behind Le Chef and she ran third in the Group One Flight Stakes behind Speak Fondly.
"At this stage it looks like she will be having her last start for us on Saturday.
"She has trialled finishing second to Big Money since the All Aged Stakes so she should be suited on Saturday," Ryan said.
Ryan won't be aiming too high with handy sprinter Bachman who returns to Brisbane in the Group Three BRC Sprint on Saturday.
Bachman has strong Queensland form, winning the Goldmarket Handicap at the Gold Coast in December and finishing second in last year's Queensland Guineas.
"Races like the Glasshouse Sprint at Caloundra look ideal for him later in the winter," Ryan said.
