Written Tycoon produces another impressive winner at Geelong

Wednesday 6 July 2016, 9:40am

Written Tycoon is the Champion 2YO sire for 2015-2016 and has enjoyed a ground breaking season that has made him the hottest stallion in Victoria, so when one of his offspring wins by eight lengths we like to know more.

Three year-old gelding Wall Street Wolf did just that when scoring with a leg in the air at Geelong on Tuesday as a red hot favourite.

Having his second start for David Hayes and Tom Dabernig following a debut third at Flemington last month after which he showed a poor post-race recovery, Wall Street Wolf was in a class of his own.

He sat outside the leader and powered away to win the 1200 metre maiden as he pleased.

A modest $18,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Oakford Thoroughbred Farm draft, he is the first winner for Regal Reward, a half-sister to Group II winning sprinter Tesbury Jack,

Written Tycoon is fully booked this spring at Woodside Park at a fee of $49,500 and has sired the winners of over $9.7 million this season to be third behind only Street Cry (IRE) and Not a Single Doubt on the Australian General Sires List.
