James McDonald has continued his winning momentum in England with a double at Newmarket.
The leading Sydney jockey rode the Charlie Appleby-trained Mise En Rose to win a fillies handicap on Friday (Saturday AEST) and backed up on Ode To Evening for trainer Charlie Appleby.
On Thursday, McDonald claimed his biggest win during his English sojourn when he steered the Michael Bell-trained Big Orange to a defence of the Group Two Princess Of Wales's Stakes at Newmarket.
Godolphin's retained jockey in Australia, McDonald has extended his stay in the northern hemisphere because of a suspension to fellow Godolphin rider William Buick.
McDonald will be at York on Saturday with five scheduled rides for Appleby and two for Johnston.
