Multiple Group One placegetter Fast `N' Rocking and a former Hong Kong-based sprinter feature as the highest-rated nominations for the Sir John Monash Stakes at Caulfield.

Saturday's weight-for-age Sir John Monash Stakes (1100m) has attracted 16 nominations with multiple stakes winner Fast `N' Rocking one of two entries for trainers David Hayes and Tom Dabernig along with the mare Kayjay's Joy.

Fast `N' Rocking has a handicap rating of 105, the same as six-year-old gelding The Cynic who is nominated to make his Australian debut for trainer Patrick Payne.

The Cynic raced as Bundle Of Joy in Hong Kong for ex-pat Australian trainer David Hall and has won six of his 23 starts.

A Group Three winner in 2014, The Cynic finished second to Peniaphobia in a Group One sprint in January last year.

The 2014 Monash Stakes winner Lord Of The Sky is nominated to run in the race for the third-straight year.
