High Mist will be Chris Waller's first chance to get one of the two wins he needs to break his own Sydney training record.
The two-year-old colt is one of 13 runners Sydney's premier stable is set to saddle up in the final metropolitan meeting of the season at Rosehill on Saturday.
High Mist has drawn barrier 13 of 15 in the Hyland Race Colours Handicap, but that hasn't dampened Waller's confidence.
"He's drawn a touch awkwardly, but I don't think it will worry him," Waller said.
Waller makes no secret of his admiration for Hugh Bowman's ability and says he backs the jockey to overcome the tricky gate.
"Hugh will find a position midfield, I guess three wide with cover," Waller said.
"He'll let him help find his feet and work home strongly.
"He'll get home well and he's learning all the time."
High Mist is the $4.80 favourite with the TAB to take Waller to 167 Sydney wins in 2015/16 and close in on his record of 167.5 set in 2012/13.
Godolphin gelding Fanfaron is on the second line of betting at $5 and the Danny Williams-trained Sugar Bella is $5.50 to make it three wins from as many starts.
The Gerald Ryan-trained Harper's Choice beat Fanfaron home last start at Rosehill on July 16 and is rated a $7 hope to break through for a maiden win on Saturday.
High Mist finished fourth in that race while $13 chances Lord Macau and Salsonic finished sixth and eighth respectively.
Other fancied Waller runners throughout the meeting include Pioneering, equal $4.20 favourite for the 1400m race for three-year-olds and McCreery, the $2.90 top pick for the 1350m benchmark 85 contest.
