Trackwork rider Kate Nipperess is in hospital with suspected multiple fractures after a two-horse collision at Warwick Farm.
Nipperess was riding pacework on the training track on Thursday morning when a riderless horse crashed into her mount, Racing NSW chief steward Marc Van Gestel said in a statement.
Nipperess is being transported to the spinal unit at Royal North Shore Hospital with suspected fractures to her ribs, pelvis and back and a tingling sensation in her feet.
Her family and Warwick Farm trainer Craig Ritchie are by her side.
