Order Of St George likely to run in Arc

Monday 26 September 2016, 12:05pm

Former Melbourne Cup favourite Order of St George is one of three likely runners for trainer Aidan O'Brien in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

The Gold Cup winner could be joined by Highland Reel and foudn in Sunday's race which is being run this year at Chantilly while Longchamp undergoes renovations.

"Order Of St George, Found and Highland Reel are in the mix at the moment for the Arc," O'Brien said.

Highland Reel finished third in last year's Cox Plate Cox Plate before winning the Hong Kong Vase while Found has finished second in her past five outings, all at Group One level.

France's leading hope, the unbeaten dual Classic winner La Cressonniere, has been ruled out after being treated for a problem trainer Jean-Claude Roget hopes is minor.
