Capitalist out of Coolmore Stud Stakes

Friday 28 October 2016, 8:03am

Capitalist's spring woes have continued with the colt scratched from the Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington because of a stone bruise to a hoof.

The Golden Slipper winner was a late scratching from last Friday's Manikato Stakes because of the rain-affected track and Saturday's Coolmore was to be his first Group One race this season.

The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained three-year-old has had two starts since his Slipper win in March, finishing fourth in the San Domenico Stakes and third in the Roman Consul Stakes behind Coolmore contenders Russian Revolution and Astern.
