Three-time Sydney premier jockey Hugh Bowman is one of eight overseas riders selected to compete in the International Jockeys' Championship in Hong Kong.
The jockeys' challenge is held at Happy Valley on December 7 as part of the lead-up to Hong Kong's showcase International meeting four days later at Sha Tin.
Among Bowman's successes this year are six Group One wins on champion mare Winx and two in Hong Kong on Werther.
Three-time British champion Ryan Moore and Pat Smullen, champion rider in Ireland nine times, will be among his competitors along with Mickael Barzalona (France) and Mirco Demuro (Italy), Florent Geroux (US), Keita Tosaki (Japan) and last year's winner Gavin Lerena (South Africa).
Star jockey Joao Moreira will represent Hong Kong with three other local riders to join him based on their rankings on November 23.
