Injured Sydney apprentice Deanne Panya will spend an extra month on the sidelines after being found guilty of an offence related to a banned diuretic.

After an inquiry on Thursday into the fall on January 28 in which Panya suffered a broken collarbone and facial laceration, Racing NSW stewards held another hearing into a positive test in a sample taken earlier that month.

Panya pleaded guilty to a charge that the sample contained the banned diuretic hydrochlorothiazide but stewards were not able to determine the cause.

Her one-month suspension will begin at the conclusion of the period for which she receives workers compensation benefits related to her injuries.

The stewards earlier determined Panya's fall from Sebring Express in the home straight in the Widden Stakes was accidental.

Panya had looked for a run to the inside of One More Honey but when she realised there was not enough room, she then angled out and Sebring Express clipped heels and dipped slightly with the jockey unbalanced and eventually coming off.

While determining it was an accident, stewards reminded Panya to be more cautious and ensure she gave herself sufficient clearance from the heels of other runners wherever possible.
