Our Ivanhowe fails vet test ahead of BMW

Friday 24 March 2017, 10:01am

Our Ivanhowe will not get the chance to add the BMW to his Ranvet Stakes win after failing a veterinary examination on race eve.

Racing NSW senior vet Craig Suann determined on Friday afternoon the Lee and Anthony Freedman-trained gelding was still lame in his off-fore leg and was not fit to run at Rosehill on Saturday.

The lameness came to light after his Group One win in the Ranvet last Saturday and he had been been given light exercise and swimming during the week.

Our Ivanhowe eased in markets on Friday with Caulfield Cup winner Jameka the $3.60 favourite before his withdrawal.
