Racing Queensland is hoping its new winter carnival campaign will attract a more diverse supporter base.
The campaign is based on the theme "We're Racing Everywhere" which is aimed at Queenslanders across the state and tourists.
RQ's chief executive Eliot Forbes said the diversity of racing events would provide multiple opportunities for Queenslanders and visitors to experience the thrill of racing.
"The Winter Racing Carnival promotional campaign 'We're Racing Everywhere' will also feature race days across all three codes," Forbes said.
"The key focus is that wherever you are in Queensland, locals and tourists alike can find a track nearby to enjoy the thrill of racing."
Racing Minister Grace Grace said there would be valuable feature races in Queensland's major racing centres over the next 12 weeks.
"This year's carnival features 61 black-type events, including eight Group One races, in what promises to be one of the highlights of the Australian racing calendar," she said.
"The carnival is an opportunity for the Queensland racing industry to shine, with the best of our local participants competing against the best from interstate and across the Tasman."
More than $14 million prize money will be on offer during the carnival.
Racing Queensland is also set to begin plans for new greyhound and harness racing infrastructure following a review by Deloitte.
One of the main topics is the possible sale of Albion Park which currently hosts both codes in Brisbane.
