Trainer Tony Gollan hasn't given up on Sheiswhatsheis getting over ground despite bringing her back in distance for her next assignment at Doomben.

Sheiswhatsheis was a strong third in the Toowoomba Cup (2000m) but will come back to 1600m in the Listed Tails Stakes on Saturday.

Gollan had also entered her for the Mandate Open Hcp (2200m) on Saturday but after trackwork on Tuesday decided to go with the shorter race.

"I sent her out for a short freshen-up after the Toowoomba Cup. She came back in very well and worked so strongly on Tuesday I thought she would be better at the 1600 metres," Gollan said.

"She has won twice at the Doomben 1600 and she looks to be one of the few leaders in the race so the wide barrier (12) shouldn't worry her."

Gollan said he had been more than happy with the mare's Toowomba Cup run.

"It was her first go in a middle distance race and she had a tough run in front. They never really left her alone," he said.

"But I thought she was very brave and she kept giving in the straight."

Gollan has also accepted with Brazen Moss and Pindan Pearl in the Tails Stakes.

"Brazen Moss has won his past two starts and he loves the track and distance. He deserves a go at a stakes race," Gollan said.

Pindan Pearl was previously trained by Peter Moody in Melbourne and Tim Martin in NSW and is a half-sister to the Martin-trained Group One winner Heavens Above.

She is now raced by Glenlogan Stud but Gollan said she was not certain to run from the outside barrier 14.

Canberra mare Single Gaze is the early favourite for the Tails Stakes and will jump from barrier nine with Kathy O'Hara to ride.

Trained by Nick Olive, Single Gaze won last year's Group One Vinery Stud Stakes before falling in the Australian Oaks.

She was not seriously hurt in the incident but Olive elected to miss the spring to give her time to get back to her peak.
