Talented sprinting mare Viddora posted a career best performance when winning the Group III SAJC RN Irwin Stakes at Morphettville on Saturday beating Illustrious Lad and I Am a Gypsy to give I Am Invincible a rare graded trifecta.
Trained on the track by Lloyd Kennewell, Viddora was narrowly beaten into second place at her last three starts so was well overdue for a win.
She settled just behind the leaders for Chris Parnham and forged clear to win the 1100 metre sprint by a length.
A $40,000 Magic Millions Adelaide purchase for her trainer from the Riva Ridge draft, Viddora has won six of 19 starts earning over $550,000 in prizemoney.
Bred by Riva Ridge, Viddora is the first winner for good metropolitan winner Snow Flight, a daughter of blue-blooded Zabeel stallion Colombia.
Riva Ridge sold the current yearling from Snow Flight, a colt by Fiorente (Ire), for $30,000 at the Adelaide Magic Millions this year.
Snow Flight was covered last spring by I Am Invincible's brilliant stakes-winning son Super One, who stands at Newgate Farm at a fee of $11,000.
I Am Invincible has had a benchmark year both in the sale ring and on the racetrack and as a result his service fee has been raised to $110,000 for 2017 by Yarraman Park.
