James Orman to miss Doomben Cup meeting

Thursday 11 May 2017, 9:23am

Jockey Jim Orman will miss the Doomben Cup meeting after being suspended at Ipswich.

Orman, who rode Hellaroo, pleaded guilty to causing interference to All Summer Long at the 200m in the final race on Wednesday.

Stewards suspended Orman for eight days from midnight on Saturday which means he will miss the Doomben Cup meeting a week later.

Last season's champion Brisbane apprentice, Orman is fifth on the metropolitan premiership with 30 wins.

Apprentice Beany Panya was also suspended for eight days after causing interference on Bound To Me in the third race.
