James Innes Jr suspended at Rosehill

Sunday 21 May 2017, 6:05pm

James Innes Jr's bid for the Sydney apprentices' premiership has hit a snag with a suspension at Rosehill ruling him out of for five meetings.

Innes trails Andrew Adkins by seven with just over two months of the season remaining.

He was outed on Saturday for an inward shift onto eventual winner Quick Feet early in the second race which stewards said was careless.

Innes, who has ridden 22 winners this season, will be out from May 28 and can return on June 8.

He will ride the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Multitude in next Saturday's Listed McKell Cup.
