Take two for Heliosphere's debut

Friday 26 May 2017, 2:25pm

Heliosphere makes a delayed debut at Randwick after a disastrous first attempt.

The Gerald Ryan-trained colt had been scheduled to run at Canterbury on May 10 but was a late withdrawal after getting down in his barrier stall after another horse held up proceedings.

Heliosphere runs in the Seven News Plate (1400m) for two-year-olds with Melbourne jockey Michael Dee to ride.

"He was in the barriers at Canterbury for five or six minutes waiting and then he sat down in the barriers," Ryan said.

"He got his head down underneath the gates and had to come out.

"He's trialled since and been passed by stewards.

"The idea was to run that day and hopefully get to the J J Atkins in Brisbane but that's probably not going to happen now."

The John Sargent-trained Easy Go Easy Win is the early favourite with next month's Group One J J Atkins (1600m) firmly on his program.

He is in a group on the second line of betting for the Atkins at $11 behind Melody Belle and Tangled who both race at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

Ryan also has Inz'N'Out in an 1100m- race and Love's A Fantasy running over 1200m at the Randwick meeting.

Inz'N'Out will be having his first start since December with his trainer hoping he can be effective fresh.

"He hasn't won in a long time but on his best form he is very well weighted in this race," Ryan said.

The five-year-old, who has earned more than $400,000, gets into the race with 53.5kg after stable apprentice James Innes Jr's two kilogram claim.

Love's A Fantasy, who has won two of her 16 starts, also carries 53.5kg and will be ridden by Jay Ford.

"She runs the same race all the time. One day she will win another one," Ryam said.
