Victorian race clubs will be required to provide publicly archived vision of jump-outs, Racing Victoria has announced.
From October 1, RV says clubs with jump-outs published in the official industry publication Inside Racing will be required to film the jump-outs they conduct and publish the vision on their respective websites within two days.
Along with vision, clubs will have to include information which identifies each of the horses in the jump-outs, including the trainer's name.
"Today's announcement is an important step forward in providing greater transparency around jump-outs for punters who are integral to the funding of the industry," RV's executive general manager, racing and participant wellbeing, Greg Carpenter said.
"We have taken on board the feedback provided by punters and believe this decision will benefit punters by equipping them with more information to make their wagering decisions."
The Victoria Racing Club (Flemington), Melbourne Racing Club (Caulfield, Mornington, Sandown) and Ballarat Turf Club (Ballarat, Burrumbeet) offer the service.
It will now be extended to all country racing tracks, including Cranbourne, Geelong, Bendigo and Pakenham, RV said.
