Green Moon scratched from Caulfield Stakes

Melbourne Cup winner Green Moon has been ruled out of Saturday's Group One Caulfield Stakes.

Racing Victoria stewards reported on Friday that the Lloyd Williams-owned star would not be running in the weight-for-age race due to an elevated temperature.

It leaves the Caulfield Stakes with a field of five, headlined by Atlantic Jewel who is a short-priced favourite to bounce back after being beaten for the first time in her career in the Underwood Stakes.
