An inquiry into Hugh Bowman's ride on a beaten favourite is unlikely to resume before the end of the week.
Bowman fronted stewards at Canterbury last Friday after Fulminate finished second to Darci Drama.
Fulminate gave away a long start before being beaten 1-3/4 lengths as the $3.50 favourite.
"I haven't set a date yet, it will take a few days," Racing NSW chief steward Ray Murrihy said.
"It will either be late this week or early next week."
Murrihy said an analysis of betting patterns on the race would be one of four areas of investigation before the inquiry resumes.
"We'll look at the betting, we'll look at the sectional times, we'll be examining the racing pattern of the horse as well as obviously having a closer look at the video (of the race)," Murrihy said.
"They'll be the four main things. The betting usually takes a few days to draw to together so we'll see how quickly we can do that."
Trainer David Vandyke told Friday's inquiry he was upset with Bowman's ride because he had instructed the leading jockey to have the mare in a forward position.
He told stewards he was also surprised Bowman had not made an effort to improve on Fulminate before the home turn.
