A big weight and wide barrier hold no fears but a rock-hard Eagle Farm track is the worry for smart sprinter Adebisi on Saturday.

Trainer Desleigh Forster will walk the track on Saturday morning and if she feels it is too firm Adebisi will miss the Jade Apartments Handicap (1000m).

"Adebisi has drawn the outside alley again on Saturday but that doesn't worry me. He has shown he doesn't have to lead in his races these days," Forster said.

"He won at Doomben recently sitting off the pace. There is only one turn in the 1000-metre races at Eagle Farm and he has the pace to take up a nice position."

However, Forster said what was worrying her was the Eagle Farm track.

"He won't be starting if the track is too hard. I don't want to risk him at this stage of his career. A good three rating at Eagle Farm is just too hard for him," Forster said.

"He isn't the only horse in that boat. If it doesn't rain they should be watering the track."

Lumbered with 60kg, Adebisi is returning from a Sydney trip where he ran second to Hurrara in the July Sprint at Randwick.

Claiming apprentice Sam Payne, who won on Adebisi at Doomben two starts ago, will be reunited with the gelding.

Forster said she was looking at another Sydney trip for Adebisi in preference to Melbourne.

"Adebisi did win the Rubiton Stakes in Melbourne but he doesn't really handle that way of going," she said.

Forster is considering running Adebisi in the Concorde Stakes (1000m) at Randwick on September 6.

Meanwhile, trainer Kelly Schweida has resisted the temptation to book an apprentice for Epic who is on trial for a Sydney trip in the Ray White Ascot Handicap (1400m).

Epic will carry 57.5kg, 3kg more than he had when a Doomben open company winner two weeks ago.

Anthony Allen rode Epic at Doomben but is now a senior rider and Michael Cahill will take over.
