Gris Caro withdrawn from $3m Caulfield Cup

Gris Caro is out of the Caulfield Cup, joining Dandino as scratching in Saturday's $3 million race.

Racing Victoria stewards confirmed the withdrawal of the Jake Stephens-trained stayer, saying the import has front feet issues.

Dandino, one of the leading international contenders, has also been scratched because of lameness in his off-fore leg.

Brambles and Araldo, the first and second emergencies, will run.

Bookmakers have Brambles on the third line of betting at $12 with Araldo at $41.
