Craig Newitt has the chance to make an impression at one of Singapore's biggest race meetings ahead of his move there in the new year.
Newitt has nine rides on Sunday's Singapore Gold Cup program including Goodman in the Group One feature for trainer Laurie Laxon.
The Melbourne-based hoop will take up a six-month contract in Singapore from January.
"I've been going to this meeting for the last few years now but obviously with the move coming up it would be nice to ride a couple of winners and get the ball rolling early," Newitt said.
War Affair, to be ridden by Singapore-based Australian Danny Beasley, is chasing the coveted triple crown of the Kranji Mile, Raffles Cup and Singapore Gold Cup.
Newitt has finished third and fourth in the Singapore Gold Cup in the past two years.
Before he heads to Singapore for Sunday's racing, Newitt rides at the Zipping Classic meeting at Sandown.
He missed Oaks Day and the Darley Classic and Emirates Stakes meeting because of suspension.
His Sandown rides include Red Bomber, a three length winner at Mornington last Sunday week.
Newitt was suspended for that ride but is looking forward to jumping on the horse again in the Sandown Stakes.
"I'm looking forward to seeing how he measures up," Newitt said.
"He walked in at Mornington. This is a big step up in class but he's a pretty progressive horse."
Newitt expects three-year-old filly More Radiant to make her presence felt as she bids to break her maiden in the Listed City Of Greater Dandenong Stakes.
"I think it's about time More Radiant stepped up," Newitt said.
"We've liked her all along.
"She has been drawing bad barriers but she's drawn well tomorrow and I'd expect her to be pretty hard to beat."
