Tough two-year-old Mishani Di Caprio remains for sale despite his second win in as many weeks at the Gold Coast on Saturday.
Mishani Di Caprio ($2.40) continued the good early season two-year-old run for trainer Les Ross when he won the First Up Racing Connections Handicap (900m).
Ross wasn't getting carried away with Mishani Di Caprio who took his prize money to $83,200 with his win.
"One thing about him he is tough as that was his third run in three weeks. Not many two-year-olds can do that but I don't think these are the strongest horses at the moment," Ross said.
He said Mishani Di Caprio is still for sale despite his win.
"We've got a lot of two-year-olds at the moment and he will make a nice horse for someone. There are a few people interested," Ross said.
Mishani Di Caprio was Ross's fifth two-year-old winner for the season.
Meanwhile, trainer Lawrie Mayfield Smith admitted he had some luck when Sammi Jain ($4.40) won the Telstra Tweed Handicap.
"This race wasn't even programmed on Monday and they only put it on when they scrapped the open handicap," Mayfield-Smith said.
He said Sammi Jain hadn't been far off top three-year-olds Enquare and Splendora last season.
"Then she put in a couple of shockers and we tipped her out. She isn't very big and we gave her time to mature," Ross said.
