Winx to face seven rivals in Apollo Stakes

Champion Winx has seven rivals as she tries to build on her winning streak in the Apollo Stakes at Randwick.

A winner of 29 races on end, Winx last raced when she won a fourth straight Cox Plate at Moonee Valley last October.

Winx has drawn barrier three in the 1400m Group Two race that is scheduled to be run at 3.50pm on Saturday.

Five of her opponents are from trainer Chris Waller's yard, including Tom Melbourne (barrier six), Egg Tart (seven) and Unforgotten (eight).

Happy Clapper, trained by Pat Webster, has drawn barrier one with Aloisia, trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, drawing gate two.
