Danedream faces her D-Day on January 1 when she will be tested again for equine infectious anaemia (EIA).
A horse tested positive for EIA, also known as swamp fever, at Cologne racecourse where Danedream was being trained for her defence of her Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe title.
Because of the contagious nature of the disease the 300 plus horses stabled at Cologne were placed into quarantine and barred from moving for three months.
If she tests negative for the ailment a decision then needs to be taken whether or not she stays in training, with a trip to the Dubai Carnival in the offing if she does.
"At the moment she is still in quarantine, Patrick Barbe, racing manager for part-owner Teruya Yoshida, said.
"She is due to be tested again on January 1 and that is the critical day.
"After that Mr Yoshida needs to decide whether to carry on with her in training, when Dubai would be an option, or to retire her to the breeding sheds."
