Capacity field for Group One Rupert Clarke

Wednesday 25 September 2013, 1:49pm

A capacity field of 18 and one emergency has been declared for Sunday's Group One Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield.

Stradbroke Handicap winner Linton is topweight with 58kg in the 1400m handicap and has drawn barrier nine.

Australian Guineas winner Ferlax, runner-up to Atlantic Jewel in the Memsie Stakes last start, has drawn well in barrier three as has Queensland galloper Solzhenitsyn who has gate five with Nash Rawiller to ride.

Sydney sprinter Rebel Dane's chances of winning a first Group One haven't been helped with the four-year-old coming up with barrier 16 for his first start at Caulfield.

Last year's Galaxy winner Temple Of Boom has the inside barrier while import Mutual Trust has the outside gate.

The John Thompson-trained Peron is the emergency.
