Kerrin McEvoy has been selected to compete in a star-studded international jockeys' challenge in Hong Kong next month.
Darley's no.1 rider in Australia will be one of 12 hoops taking part in the annual event at Happy Valley during the week of the international meeting at Sha Tin.
The big-name riders confirmed for the December 4 jockeys' challenge include Douglas Whyte, Joao Moreira, Gary Stevens, Mike Smith, Ryan Moore, Christophe Soumillon and rising Japanese star Suguru Hamanaka.
Australian jockey Zac Purton, who leads the Hong Kong premiership, is also set to take his place in the challenge which comprises four races.
Of more immediate concern to McEvoy is his attempt to extend the Darley team's recent dominance in the Group Two Sandown Guineas (1600m) in Melbourne on Saturday.
McEvoy has the ride on Paximadia for trainer Peter Snowden with the race to be run at Caulfield this year while the Sandown track undergoes renovations.
Snowden and McEvoy have combined to win three of the past five runnings of the Sandown Guineas with Tatra (2012), Kidnapped (2009) and Caymans (2008).
A last start winner of the Carbine Club Stakes at Flemington, Paximadia is the early favourite and will be joined in the Guineas by stablemate Champollion.
