A winning double at Flemington to Michelle Payne has been soured by a careless riding suspension.
Payne claimed a feature win in the Listed Straight Six on Lonhspresso and added another victory in the final race on improving three-year-old By The Grace.
But stewards later suspended Payne for 10 meetings for careless riding from the opening race aboard two-year-old Husson Eagle where the jockey caused interference to Stephen Baster's mount Francesca Belle passing the 200m.
Payne can return to riding on June 4.
Lonhspresso, a last-to-first winner of the Straight Six, is due to have her next start in the Dane Ripper Stakes in Brisbane on June 7.
Stewards also suspended jockey Ryan Maloney for 10 meetings for careless riding aboard Bells Of Troy in the Banjo Paterson Series Heat.
He starts his ban after riding at Geelong on Tuesday.
