Rod Craig has pared his Warwick Farm stable back but he will always have room for the family of Quest For Success.
Royal Adventure is the fifth foal and the fifth winner from Quest For Success, a mare Craig trained for a group including Ron Bateman and former TAB chairman Ross Cribb.
They remain loyal clients and Craig has trained all the mare's progeny including Royal Adventure who returns from a spell when she lines up at Canterbury on Wednesday.
Although Craig knows the 1250 metres of the Cellarbrations Handicap is short of the filly's best, he is encouraged by her win in a recent 1200m barrier trial.
"She surprised me a little. I thought she would get back but she put herself right there early and beat a good horse in Takewing," Craig said.
"Quest For Success has been a great mare. She's had five foals who have won races.
"Royal Adventure is a lovely, honest filly and won nicely at the end of her campaign."
Royal Adventure won two races during the summer over 1800m at Hawkesbury and 2100m at Wyong.
"I'm hoping she shows enough tomorrow to say she can be competitive in town and maybe progress to Saturday races over the winter," Craig said.
"I've cut back my team to around eight horses. My days of having 40 or 50 are over.
"We moved quite a few horses on to trainers out of town and I am now selective in the horses I have.
"Ron Bateman and Ross Cribb have always had horses with me and I will always train for them."
Royal Adventure will be ridden by her regular partner Blake Spriggs.
Craig is hoping she can fill the void left by her elder half brother Raise The Level who is recovering from a tendon injury.
"He is probably the best of the family," Craig said. "He has had stem cell treatment and will take some months."
Circle Of Fame, Velocity Gal and Circle Of Power are the other winning members of the family.
