Co-trainer Peter Morgan flagged Caulfield Guineas plans for Zebulon after the colt's stylish Flemington success.
Zebulon figured heavily in the stewards' report on debut at Werribee on June 15 but clear running and a firmer surface helped him to a 1-3/4-length win in the Murray Cox Handicap (1410m) on Saturday.
An outside barrier left Zebulon racing wide for the entire event but jockey Linda Meech brought the All American colt down the centre of the track to beat Profit Share and Allergic.
Morgan, who trains Zebulon in partnership with Craig Widdison, said the youngster could run again before a break ahead of his spring three-year-old campaign.
"We've always thought he might be a Guineas horse so we'll probably head that way with him," Morgan said.
"Whether we run him again in a fortnight, we'll just see how he pulls up."
Meech gained the ride on Zebulon after injury sideline his original jockey Glen Boss for the day and she made the most of the chance to record her 100th win of the season.
Zebulon was the fourth two-year-old winner from as many to race out of the Morgan and Widdison stable this season and the Whittlesea-based partners have spring aspirations for Honest Lee, who won at Bendigo on Thursday.
"I've got some nice ones there and there's still more to come," Morgan said.
"I think the horse that won on Thursday will be around in the spring time as well."
