Vinery Stud Stakes winner Fenway has been scratched from the ATC Australian Oaks because of lameness.
The Lee and Shannon Hope-trained filly was ruled out of Saturday's $1 million race after being inspected by Racing NSW's senior vet Dr Craig Suann on Friday.
Fenway had been considered one of the leading Oaks chances after her win in the Vinery Stud Stakes - the strongest lead-up race.
"A real shame for everyone involved but her best interests are foremost," the stable tweeted.
