Quality mare Enquare has recovered from a tough Melbourne spring campaign and is primed for a home track return in the Glasshouse Handicap at the Sunshine Coast.
Saturday's Listed Glasshouse (1300m) will be the mare's first start since her failure in the Group One Myer Classic at Flemington on November 1.
Trainer Jason McLachlan gave Enquare a genuine hope in the spring fillies and mares races and she confirmed that when second in the Group Two Blazer Handicap at Flemington in October.
But she was well beaten at her next two starts in the Group Two Tristarc Stakes and the Myer Classic.
"A few things didn't go right which can happen when you travel. She jarred up a bit on the hard tracks and that didn't help," McLachlan said.
"But I have been really pleased with her since she came back from a break. She is a quality mare and right up to this type of race."
Enquare's aim is the Group One Stradbroke Hcp (1350m) on June 6.
"We can really go two ways - the Stradbroke or the Dane Ripper and Tatts Tiara," McLachlan said."
"The Stradbroke is at Doomben over 1350 metres this year and Enquare won the Vo Rogue Plate over that trip. But the Dane Ripper and Tiarra are for mares and that would suit her as well."
McLachlan will also have 2009 Golden Slipper winner Phelan Ready in the Glasshouse.
"I had him and Facile Tigre in at Toowoomba two weeks ago but scratched them when I was told the track would be a bog."
"As it turned out they were running records but I don't regret scratching them. It was a long way to go and I didn't want them knocked about."
"Phelan Ready is out in the car park from barrier 16 but he will go around and should run well."
McLachlan will run Facile Tigre in the Listed Bribie Hcp (1000m).
"It is a very strong race but Facile Tigre is drawn well and gets his chance to win another race."
