Chris Waller has outlined Royal Ascot plans for Press Statement following confirmation Vinery Stud and The China Horse Club has bought a 50 per cent stake in the Group One winner for an undisclosed sum.
The two-year-old will remain under the care of Waller who is establishing a reputation as a stallion-making trainer.
He has also guided the racetrack careers of Zoustar and Brazen Beau who were both sold to stud interests.
Brazen Beau became Waller's first runner in Europe when he finished second in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot last month and is being prepared for a tilt at the July Cup at Newmarket in two weeks.
Waller said Press Statement had all the attributes to follow in his stablemate's footsteps next year.
"Having the confidence of having been to Ascot now, I think he's the perfect horse to take there next year," Waller said.
"If I go back, I wouldn't be taking one horse, I'd be taking two or three.
"He would be at the top of the list and (Doncaster Mile winner) Kermadec would be another one."
Press Statement is by first season sire Hinchinbrook and is a half brother to Group One winner Pressday.
He is undefeated from three starts and will be given the chance to add to his tally in the spring.
Vinery's Peter Orton said they were excited to secure a colt of Press Statement's calibre and felt the horse had the potential to be a future star.
