Craig Williams will appeal the severity of a careless riding ban which rules him out of important rides on C F Orr Stakes day.
Williams was suspended for eight meetings for shifting out on Danjeu at the 700m-mark in the second race at Caulfield on Saturday.
The high-profile jockey has been released from two rides at Hobart on Monday.
He will need to have at least one meeting shaved off the ban to ride at Caulfield on Saturday.
Williams is booked for Rising Romance in the Group One C F Orr Stakes and Calliope and Weatherly in the Blue Diamond Preludes.
